Microblading is an ideal solution for clients who have patchy, thin, or uneven eyebrows and are looking for the most natural looking results that lasts all day long, effortlessly, for years. Look at Microblading 101 for more information. 

Clients with normal skin are perfect candidates for microblading, not too oily or sensitive. Our Master Artist will sometimes suggest Combo Brows  for client’s with moderately oily skin and are oily skin clients are better suited for Powder Brows.

Our Online Appointment Process will assess your eyebrows and skin by asking you a few questions and based on your answers it will recommend a certain technique (Microblading, Powder brows, or Combo brows).

Oily skin will cause the hairstrokes to become thicker over time. The oil in the skin causes the pigment underneath the skin to disperse. If you suspect you have oily skin, we offer a consultation over email.

WHAT ARE COMBO BROWS?

Combo brows is a combination of two forms of semi-permanent techniques: microblading and nano powder brows (shading). Microblading hair-strokes are placed with a manual tool around the border of the brow to give the brow a natural look. The powder effect is applied to the body of the brow using a permanent makeup device to give the brow its fullness.  

WHO ARE COMBO BROWS FOR?

Combo Brows are great for clients with normal to moderately oily skin. So if your skin is too oily for microblading alone, combo brows might be a fantastic alternative. For someone with very sparse brows, the shading can give the brow more body, while the hair-strokes keep it looking natural.

ARE THERE DIFFERENT KINDS OF COMBO BROWs?

Yes! We have so many ways we can make your brows perfect for you!

•  Signature Combo: This is my personal favorite! A perfect combination of strokes from bulb and along the edges of brow with powder effect at the tail. It’s soft, romantic, and oh so snatched! 
•  Bold Combo: Bolder combo brows. Has only strokes in the bulb of brow and the body and tail is powder effect. This is for those who want something a little more bold, this is for someone who uses pomade on their brows daily and wants a lot more bold power to their look.
•  Natural Combo: Keeping it natural! We have strokes with soft shading throughout the body! So soft, subtle, natural.   

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED FOR A NEW SET OF COMBO BROWS ?

A new set of Combo eyebrows takes two appointments to complete. it needs two visits to ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment. The second appointment is called a complementary touchup and takes place 6 to 8 weeks after the initial appointment after the pigments settled into the skin. In this complementary touchup, the artist makes any needed adjustments and ensures each hairstroke has even color.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY NEW COMBO BROWS?

We recommend yearly touchup, after the initial complementary touchup, to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type and lifestyle.

WHAT ARE POWDER BROWS?

Powder brows is a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun.

HOW ARE POWDER BROWS DONE ?

Our trained artist use a small needle to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder makeup. In order to add density, the artists can layer the pixels repetitively, which will appear as though the brow was filled in with a pencil or brow pomade. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker then your natural eyebrow hair.

Our customers often have great healed results after one session with shading. We do offer a complementary touch up after 6-8 weeks to ensure your brows are perfect and the color is even throughout the whole eyebrow or if for any reason you want to add more density to them.
